Love the app but it forecloses when I try the treeview on my x10mini pro. It is a bloody shame because this is why I downloaded it. Will this be fixed?

You can download these apps on Android Market :-)
Unfortunately, the French version is not available.
Thank you.

It will not let me add my niece from contacts. is it because her last name is different than her parents? (She is married.)

piod said...

You can add all of your relatives as well as niece. It doesn't matter that her last name is different with her parents.
Please let me know details about your problem. (For example, your niece can be added by adding relationship(son or daughter) of your siblings)

Unfortunately, there is no plan for developing the feature importing a GED file.
Thanks :-)

Are you going to allow dates before 1900?
If you don't its useless. You can NOT create a real family tree.
I didn't gave stars till now...

I have a plan to develop features as you mentioned :-)
I'm sorry for inconvenience by the lack of features...

Any idea when you will support two spouses?

Piod said...

I'm trying to implement that feature. As you know, I worry about a variety of situations. And I'm focusing on its representation.
I'm sorry for inconvenience by the lack of features..

How about to allow function to change name wich I add from contacts. Becouse I don't need "daddy" in my heritage.
Are you interested in more about this application? Will you publish a new update?

Piod said...

The issue that you mentioned is one of limitations of sync with contacts and the app. I hope to be implemented the sync feature after generalization for more issues.

Currently, I'm trying to implement to support another spouses and half-siblings. I hope that next update will be version 0.2.0.

Hi...thanks for this app...I have supported it and I would like to ask you for closer information when any new release comes... I realy miss possibility of adding 19th century dates (it is very, very important when genealogy is created) and some export/import function for/from any PC app... Last update was many month ago and I hope that I have not supported "dead app" Thanks for your answer and soon update.

It will supports another spouses and half-siblings in next update. That is the most problem of My Heritage app :'( I'm sorry for delay of this release.
Then I hope that the 19th century limit of Android API will be solve the next update.
Thanks for your support!

Hiya,
Thank you for your work on MyHeritage - I was looking for a family-tree app but yours is the only one I could find which would allow creating/editing as well as browing Good work.
I back-up the requests for multiple-marriages, I have a couple that need in my tree! On trees that I have seen, these are represented by the main person in the middle and the 2 spouses on either side, thus allowing a 'union' line for each marriage, and children below the appropriate union-line.
Could you please have a look at the code for date formats? At the moment any date-requestor or date display is coming up in American (MDY) format rather than the system-setting format.
I commend your idea of importing from Contacts, but it's actually a waste of time. Most of my family tree are dead, and so they're not in my Contacts! Also, I would generally only have ONE contact for each sub-family, rather than a contact for each person. So could you please add a user-setting to turn off the AddFrom Contactsrequestor.
When adding a relative could we have an option to Add From Tree, where we just point to a prrson that already exists on the graphic tree?
When entering dates, any chance of just being able to enter *partial* dates, possibly by setting the D or M or Y to 0 or 'unknown'.
That's enough to keep you coding for a while!
Thanks
RAC

Seems that one can add persons from contacts only, but what about dead ancestors?

Richard Cook said...

Can you please work on a system of 'disconnecting' a person from the tree, so that we can change from incorrect Father to correct one!
I tried to delete the person's father, and it DID delete the father! Surely I should not be able to delete a person completely unless I'm directly editing THAT person? Please change this 'delete Father/Mother' functionality to 'change Father/Mother' possibly with 'make Father/Mother unknown'.
Then when trying to pick the new Father/Mother I should be able to pick a person either from a drop-down list of names, or preferably by pointing at a person in the tree.
Is there any way of ordering siblings in a specific way? ie I know who's the eldest/middle/youngest, but I don't know dates, but I'd still like them presented in birth order on the tree.
Thanks,
RAC

Why can't log in be entered when phone is turned sideways? this is very inconvenient for those of us with either fat fingers or a 'dead' zone on screen.

If you are willing to implement a french version, I offer to translate all vocabulary, You can contact me at donparlor [at] gmail [dot] com

it's the greatest family tree app on android!
It would be better if it can import / export GEDCOM. Maybe an online tool to convert GEDCOM to My Heritage's backup file, or a small program.

Hi..for muslims, it is possible for a man to marry a maximum of 4 women in one time. I hope this app can upgrade the features which we can add spouse at any time.
When a marriage end by divorce or the spouse was died, we still need to maintain the name of the spouse, just add the status of the marriage, died or divorced.
